Active Night of Weather Will Transition to Calmer Conditions

Good morning, Kentucky. I hope everyone in the WABBLES area kept themselves and their families safe during last night’s severe weather. Our friends just to the south in Nashville, TN experienced a tornado last night, so keep all of those impacted in your thoughts today.

The good news is that an active night of weather will transition to calmer conditions today. I’ve got all the details below!

Yesterday/last night was a memorable weather event. We’ll learn more about those storms as the day goes on. (SPC)

Chance of Rain this Morning

Rain chances will stick around through this morning and fade as we make it to the late-morning hours. I would grab the rain jacket and umbrella as you’re headed out, but you won’t need it when you’re going home today.

The rain should be out of the area by mid-morning. (COD)

Although the rain will take a break, the wind won’t. It will still be very gusty today with sustained winds around 15 mph. The high temperature should reach the low-60s, so it should be a nice day after the rain clears out.

Beautiful Conditions on Wednesday

Things brighten up by tomorrow. The rain will be gone and we should see an increase in sunshine. The high temperature should reach around the low-60s and then a cold front will pass through the area in the late afternoon hours. Unfortunately, this cold front will bring rain back into the forecast for Thursday.

Things look to remain quiet across the state tomorrow. (WPC)

Rain Returns on Thursday

If you didn’t get enough rain yesterday, Thursday might bring it to you. Our high temperature should still reach the mid-50s, which is good because at least it won’t be a cold rain.

This round of rain does not seem to be a heavy producer like the showers we had yesterday. (COD)

If you have plans on Thursday, it looks like the rain should clear out before dark (that could change a lot over the next two days). Moral of the story, prepare to bring out the rain gear once again.

That concludes today’s post. Let last night be a testament for how critical it is to stay weather-aware at all times. Follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook to get daily updates on the weather in the WABBLES area. Have a great day!
