Showers Possible This Weekend

Welcome, everyone! Glad you could stop by this morning. After spending the start of the week wet, it was nice to have a sunny day yesterday. However, wet weather returns with showers possible this weekend.

One More Dry Day

Yesterday was a little chilly, but otherwise it was a beautiful day. Thursday looks to be very similar. High pressure is dominating our area right now, which means more sunny skies today.

Along with clear skies, our temperatures will be able to warm up as well. Highs today look to reach into the low 50’s with light winds from the south. Clouds start to build overnight as our temperatures drop into the low 30’s.

Wet Weather Incoming

Things start to get interesting starting Friday evening. Before then, however, our Friday looks to start off dry, but cloudy. With the lack of sunshine, temperatures will be a little cooler near the upper 40’s.

Friday night, the first of two troughs will move through and will bring a chance of showers with it. With temperatures only in the low 40’s, we aren’t expecting any snow. Only plain rain!

Any showers will move out by sunrise on Saturday, but not for long. The second trough will make its way in around lunchtime bringing the second round of showers possible this weekend.

Temperatures on Saturday look to warm again slightly to around 50°, so no snow. Lows Saturday night will end up near the freezing line, though, in the low 30’s.

Wintery Weather Possible?

After those two troughs move through by Saturday night, our next weather-maker becomes a little uncertain. Our next precipitation chance comes on Sunday, but different models are handling the forecast very differently.

Some are saying the low pressure system will race off to the north, while others are keeping it near the Ohio Valley. Depending on what happens will determine what kind of precipitation we’ll get, whether it be rain or maybe a wintery mix. But don’t worry, we’ll be watching this closely and will keep you all updated.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy today’s sunshine!
