Good morning, folks and happy Sunday!! Quiet conditions will continue as we end the weekend and transition into the new work week.
Sunday’s Outlook
Waking up and heading out the door to Sunday morning church service, you might need to put on a jacket or coat as temperatures will be right around the freezing mark of 32 degrees.
High pressure at the surface just of to the east will allow temperatures to rebound back into the lower 50s. Temperatures will not rise further during the afternoon hours as an approaching cold front along the Mississippi River Valley will keep a layer of mid-to-high level clouds overhead.
No Big Changes to Start the Week
The quiet pattern looks to continue to start off the work week as temperatures on Monday will make it up to the 50-degree mark. Again with mostly cloudy skies overhead, the temperatures during the afternoon hours won’t have a chance to rise too much.
The quiet pattern will be interrupted by a few disturbances in the atmosphere, the first disturbance will move through the region Monday night into Tuesday morning. Model guidance is showing that precipitation chances will be on the low side, as the disturbance won’t have a lot of moisture to work with as it swings through the WABBLES region.
High temperatures on Tuesday will rise back up into the middle 50s and then possibly make it to the 60-degree mark on Wednesday, making for a beautiful middle part of the week.
