Good morning Southcentral Kentucky and happy Saturday! With the weekend upon, the forecast is calling for a pleasant and relatively warmer weekend.

Weekend Forecast
With clear skies, calm winds and low dew points across the area, this will result in a drop in temperatures this morning. If you plan on venturing outside early this morning, you will be welcomed by cold temperatures. Temperatures during the morning hours will be in the low-to-middle 20s.

An area of high pressure at the surface will be east of the region during the day, this will allow a southerly flow to return to the area helping temperatures during the afternoon hours rise back up into the low-to-middles 50s. Skies will be clear, making for a cool but pleasant Saturday across the area.

The warming temperatures and clear conditions look to carry on into Sunday before a major cool down heading into the beginning of next week. Temperatures on Sunday will rise back up to right around 60 degrees.

The Ohio River Valley Region will be situated in what is known as the warm sector, the warm sector is a region of warmer air at the surface behind a passing warm front, but ahead of an approaching cold front.

The Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 Day Temperature Outlook (November 14 to November 18) keeps a large portion of the US below normal for this time of year. The Ohio and Tennessee River Valleys look to be well below the normal when it comes to temperatures.
