Monday & Tuesday

Heading out the door this morning and heading off to work, I would advise you to wear a coat as temperatures will be in the lower 40s. A large area of low pressure that has been impacting much of the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes regions will continue to lift north and eastward.

This will allow for an area of high pressure to continue to build into the region making weather conditions quite pleasant around the Ohio River Valley. The high-pressure system should allow temperatures to top out in the middle 70s under clear skies.

Skies remain clear during the overnight hours tonight and heading into Tuesday, the mostly clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to drop back into the middle 40s on Tuesday morning. You might need the light jacket heading off to work.

Temperatures at 8 AM on Tuesday. (NWS)

Cool temperatures during the early morning hours will rebound quickly during the late morning hours, temperatures will rise back up into the middle 70s during the afternoon hours. Cloud cover will gradually increase throughout the day, especially during the afternoon hours as an area of low-pressure with a weak cold front accompanying it will sweep across the region.

Scattered showers will accompany this cold front as it quickly moves through, can’t rule out a few rumbles of thunder.

QPF for Tuesday night’s rain chances. (Pivotal Weather)

Not expecting a total gully washer as this front moves through, just some moderate showers with rain totals as much as a quater inch.

Wednesday

High pressure settles in as the area of low pressure quickly exits the region. Temperatures behind the front on Wednesday will hover around the 60-degree mark with nothing but clear skies.

That wraps up your Monday wxornotBG forecast, thanks for tuning in and I hope you all have a great day! Make sure you look for further updates on our live weather feedĀ @wxornotbg!
