Good Sunday morning, folks! What wonderful weather we have been having! The temperatures look to continue to be nice, at least, but a rain chance will be thrown in as our first taste of fall looks to extend.
Gloomy/Stormy to Start the Week
As you are waking up, you are likely finding something that puts a bit of a damper on the Fall-like temps: cloud cover. Thicker cloud cover is moving in, as well.
Well, you can expect for it to continue through Monday. And that is part of the fun! The best Fall days (in my opinion) are the days that have thick cloud cover, mist, and a nice pot of chili going.
It probably won’t be chilly enough for chili the next couple of days, but for August? This is pretty dang nice.
We have a slow moving trough of low pressure to our west, and this will force numerous showers and storms to from and move through the region today and Monday.
As a result, clouds will be thick and numerous. Highs should end up only in the upper 70s and possibly low 80s both days. Monday, we may only hit the mid 70s! It’ll feel really nice outside, even if it is raining.
Solid Cold Front Approaches Tuesday
After some relative clearing by Monday night, a nice ole cold front begins to approach the region. We had one approach last week, but it was far too week to push through and be useful at all. It just kinda meandered. It did cool us down a bit, though!
This looks like the first true cold front to indicate Fall is coming. We won’t get the brunt of the cooler than average temperatures, but it will knock temps down a couple of notches, and that will be really nice.
The front looks like it is gonna approach quickly by Tuesday evening, and should have some showers or storms along with it. Highs on Tuesday will likely be in the mid 80s.
Nice Shot of Fall Arrives
I mean, you won’t be waking up shivering. But if I told you that your lows would be in the upper 50s Thursday-Saturday, would you be mad? That is the definition of a first taste of fall.
And in perfect timing for the true beginning of College Football Season! Wednesday is the start of all of this. Highs Wed. through Saturday don’t look to get above the mid 80s, with a couple of shots at staying near the upper 70s.
Its gonna be a nice change of pace, especially when you add with it that dewpoints will be lower as well. Get excited! We’ve earned it after several hot weeks.
Well, that is all I have, folks! Have a wonderful day, and be sure to follow @wxornotBG on Twitter and Facebook.
