Rain Today, Then Finally Some Drier Conditions

Good morning and happy Monday, folks!! This very active weather pattern that we have been experiencing over the past several days will be coming to an end. But first, we will experience one last shot of showers and thunderstorms today, then we will finally experience some drier conditions.

One More Shot of Rain for Today

The rain will return heading into Monday, so like the past several days, make sure you keep the umbrella handy. Another slug of moisture will move in from the southwest during the mid-morning hours, most of the area could experience gusty winds and heavy rainfall with this complex of showers and thunderstorms.

The complex of showers and thunderstorms will move east and out of the area around lunch. Isolated showers and thunderstorms could continue to develop during the afternoon hours today. High temperatures around the area will rise into the middle 80s during the afternoon hours with dewpoint temperatures hovering around in the upper 60s and lower 70s making it feel quite soupy outside.

Drier Conditions on Tap Heading Into Tues/Wed/Thur

A middle-to-upper level ridge will begin to build in from the west, pushing out the active and wet conditions we have been experiencing during the past several days. This ridge will bring with it sunny and dry conditions as it continues to build in from the west and strengthen.

The forecast calls for a spectacular Tuesday with sunny and dry conditions. High temperatures on Tuesday will rise into the upper 80s with dew point temperatures only in the middle-to-upper 60s, making it feel a little bit more comfortable outside.

Wednesday and Thursday will be spectacular as well with high temperatures rising into the upper 80s with mostly sunny skies, scattered afternoon clouds could develop around the area but they will not pose a threat of rain.
