Good morning south central Kentucky, if you miss sunshine, this afternoon will pleasantly surprise you since clouds clear out today as a mild Christmas week approaches.
Temperatures Rebound As Clouds Clear Out Today
After bundling up this morning for temperatures in the low 30’s, we will rebound nicely to the upper 40’s by this afternoon. Sunshine should return by about noon allowing your rain gear to have a chance to dry out and probably making you as happy as the Grinch stealing Christmas…
Back to Showers Tomorrow
Tomorrow will feature another chance of showers, especially in the morning, because of a weak cold front passing through our region. With temperatures in the low 40’s to upper 30’s, this will be an all rain event, dashing everyone’s hopes for a white Christmas.
Mild Christmas Week Ahead
With highs in the mid 40’s, Santa may overheat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day during the afternoons while feeling comfy in his red fur suit during the chilly mornings with temperature in the low 30’s. Christmas Eve will be sunny, but clouds will build in throughout the day on Christmas leading to another chance of light rain showers that night.
As for the rest of Christmas week, highs in the 50’s to even low 60’s appear likely with a rainy low pressure system coming to soak us on Thursday.
That is all I have for today. Make the most of the milder temperatures and follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
