Showers Are Back to Close the Week

After one of the nicest days in awhile yesterday, we’re certainly paying for it today with chilly, cloudy weather and on-and-off rain chances already this morning. And you’re going to want to get used to it because showers are back to close the week.

Grab that Rain Gear

Scattered showers are already impacting us out there this morning, with more of that on the way thanks to a passing low pressure system nearby.

We’ll see these showers continue to pivot through the area through today and into tonight as well. Heck, models are suggesting we could see upwards of a half-inch of rain before all is said and done this weekend.

Temperatures throughout the day today will hover in the upper 40s to near 50° for a high today as we’ll be socked in with clouds and showers. Winds shift northerly tonight and could get quite gusty, with 20+ MPH gusts not out of the question. This will drop us to around 43° overnight with the rain chances sticking around.

Temperatures Begin to Tumble

Our winds will have shifted to the north and they will remain quite breezy to close out the week. Gusts upwards of 30+ MPH won’t be out of the question.

The rain will slowly move east during the morning hours and we’ll begin the drying process heading into Friday afternoon. Cloud cover will stay thick over the area, however and add in the stiff northerly breezes and you’ve got a recipe for temperatures not moving much.

Highs will only approach the 45° mark tomorrow afternoon. We’ll slowly attempt to clear out overnight but we’ll hang on to the breezes for an overnight low falling to about 30°.

At Least the Weekend Looks Nice

The good news is that there’s light at the end of this tunnel because Saturday looks like a pretty nice day.

High pressure will be in control as will southwesterly breezes and that means mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing to near 50° once again. Wind might be a touch on the breezy side but nothing like we’re going to see tonight and into tomorrow. Mostly clear skies continue into the overnight with a low around 35°.
