Good morning folks, we are starting this morning in the mid-50’s with a fall-like today, weekend return to summer in store.
Dry and Super Nice Temperatures Today
It might be chilly enough this morning to wear a jacket if you are cold-natured. Highs will only reach the upper 70’s with clear skies and a light breeze.
Warm Up Starts Tomorrow
Tomorrow will feature another cool start in the upper 50’s before highs reach the mid 80’s in the afternoon behind southern winds. Expect more clouds to build in through the day, but no rain.
This week’s cool down and then warm up is due to an unseasonably strong high pressure system that blew cooler air in from the north earlier this week and will drag up hotter, muggy air from our south tomorrow into this weekend.
Return to Summer over Weekend
By Saturday we will completely return to average August Kentucky weather with highs in the upper 80’s, high humidity, and the chance of an isolated thundershower.
This pattern of heat and humidity continues into Sunday and next week with highs in the lower 90’s and an increasing chance of pop up isolated storms each day. With the high humidity and temperatures, heat indices could reach uncomfortable and even dangerous levels by next week–one more reason to enjoy the nice weather today and tomorrow!
