Hey folks, under the influence of high pressure today will be clear with a high in the mid 80’s.  Isolated thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon become scattered t’storms on Saturday making us clear today, storm chances increasing toward weekend.

Today looks to be all clear with light northeast winds that will keep us from getting too toasty even with no rainstorms to cool things down.

Isolated Storms Tomorrow Afternoon

Expect a few, isolated, whack a mole style thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon to form and then quickly collapse on themselves due to a lack of wind shear.  Meanwhile, highs will be in the mid 80’s again with light winds and high humidity before dropping to the upper 60’s tomorrow night.

With such a lack of winds to move them along, any storms that form could just sit there and dump rain, so watch out for very localized flooding.  Maybe keep an umbrella around, and some sunglasses: this could be a day where it could be raining and sunny at the same time.  #Kywx

Scattered T’Storms on Saturday

Just two more days until the Memorial Day long weekend!  Come Saturday, a shortwave trough and a tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico look to team up to send more moisture into our region.  Therefore, more rain and thundershowers are likely to form on Saturday and Sunday while temperatures stay in the mid 80’s for highs.

Since winds blow counterclockwise around low pressure systems, a the shortwave and tropical system will bring in moisture. h/t pivotalwx

Rainy Memorial Day?

Disagreement still exists in the weather models on where that tropical system will end up by Monday, and since it could funnel moisture northward towards us its location will affect how much rain we get next week.  Follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
