Good morning, folks! Hope everyone is having a good week, and is happy that it is HUMP DAY! Unfortunately, we are looking at similar weather to that which we have seen over the past few days. Hopefully, these April showers bring a nice weekend!

Bland Wednesday

We’ll be in between weather makers today, as our constant rain maker over the past couple of days has finally moved on out of here.

In its place, we are looking at some low clouds to start off the day. I think those will develop breaks with time, revealing some sunshine later this morning. However, expect cumulus clouds to quickly redevelop across the region.

Highs today should be pretty nice, jumping into the mid 60s!

By late today, anticipate thick cloud cover moving in ahead of our next weather maker for Thursday.

Rain Possible Thursday

This is one of the more head scratching forecasts for me right now. The models didn’t have rain for several runs, and then shifted the rain towards us, but now there is some disagreement among them.

It is confusing. As a sharp mid-level low approaches us, we’ll see a low pressure system develop to our south. On the north side of this low, there will be precipitation and we look to be *right* on the edge of rain or no rain.

The GFS model has been the most consistent with rain over the past couple of days, and several other models support it. h/t COD Weather

With support from operational and ensemble models, I do think we see light rain tomorrow afternoon. There is a decent amount of uncertainty with this still, but I am confident in the rain chances.

Highs tomorrow should get into the lower 60s under cloudy skies.

Friday and Beyond Look Decent

Another cold front will approach the region on Friday. With another system moving through the day before, there shouldn’t be much for this system to work with moisture wise.

If you doing have much moisture, you probably won't have much rain. h/t giphy.com

As a result, I think Friday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies at times, with maybe an isolated rain shower late in the day. Highs will be in the mid and upper 60s.

Beyond that, this weekend looks awesome. Mostly sunny skies will be the main feature, with temperatures in the mid and upper 60s. It is exciting and well deserved after a week full of clouds.
