Rainy March Morning

h/t giphy.com  Yep, spring in KY.

Nice way to start the month–soaked.  Since midnight, up to a quarter inch of rain has fallen and will continue through the day due to a noon cold front.  Then great weekend days will result as high pressure moves in behind it.

h/t pivotalwx.com We go from low pressure to high pressure from Thurs. to Friday, one indication of a front.
h/t pivotalwx.com NAM 06z run  We go from low pressure to high pressure from Thurs. to Friday, one indication of a front passing.

Today will start in the upper 50’s with rain of course, then the temps will rise to the low 60’s with 15 to 20 mph winds by noon right before the cold front comes through.  Showers should stop between 1 and 3 this afternoon.  By 6 p.m. the temperatures will have dropped to the upper 40’s, but we could see the sun!

Please be aware that a Kentucky statewide tornado drill is scheduled for 9:07 a.m. this morning.  (They should have done this before Saturday’s storms, right?)  It may be raining and breezy, but there is no chance of severe weather today, so no need to panic if you receive the alarm signals.

Nice Friday

Great Weekend

High temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday will reach into the mid 50’s with no chance of rain.  About time we had some good weather on a weekend even if we do have to go through a Thursday noon cold front.

h/t giphy.com I guess Yoda has never heard of meteorology
h/t giphy.com  I disagree, at least when there is a high pressure system coming.

Then great weekend have and @wxornotBG check!
