Hey folks! Hope everyone had a great start to the work week yesterday, as it was one of the nicer days we have had in quite a while. Don’t get used to it, because we have a cloudy and rainy midweek in store.
Mild Tuesday
The surface high pressure system that moved in here on Sunday after Saturday’s cold front is looking to press on out of here ahead of a stout low pressure system and cold front.
This will allow a shift to southerly flow across the region, which will keep us pretty mild. Most of the day is looking sunny, so I am expecting a high around 63°F.
Not too shabby! It won’t last long. Clouds increase quickly this evening ahead of our next rainmaker.
More Rain is Less Fun
Yesterday and today look like great days! Why can’t we keep them? Well, because it is inevitably going to rain again!
A low pressure system and cold front gradually approach the region from the south and west tonight and into Wednesday. The warm front of this system is expected to move through tonight and bring rainfall to the region later on tonight.
By Wednesday morning, the umbrellas and rain jackets will likely be necessary heading out to work and school. Rain then looks to become intermittent during the day Wednesday, with it increasing in coverage again by Wednesday evening.
Highs Wednesday are a little tough to pick out, with thick cloud cover and rain around all day. I think we’ll see a high of 59°F, but I’m not too confident.
Expect rain to last much of Wednesday night, and then moving out by Thursday afternoon as the cold front swings through. And this cold front means business Thursday.
Temps look to fall from the upper 50s Thursday afternoon into the mid 30s by Friday morning as skies clear. Unfortunately, it looks like another shot of briefly cool air.
Well, that is all I have folks! Be sure to follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG! Have a wonderful day!
