Slick Spots Possible This Morning
While temperatures as of 6 AM are still around 39°, temperatures should continue dropping through the morning hours. Patchy freezing drizzle and light showers or snow showers will be possible over the next few hours. This may lead to some slick spots on area roads, especially bridges and overpasses. Chance of a light wintry mix will continue until around Noon.
Cold Today
Temperatures will likely drop back to around freezing this morning and only recover a few degrees the rest of the day. Afternoon high temperatures will likely top out around 37° under partly cloudy skies. Gusty northwest winds will make it feel colder.
Mostly clear skies will move in place overnight. This will lead to low temperatures around 23°.
“Warmer” Wednesday
Winds will once again turn southwesterly on Wednesday morning. Gusty southwest winds may help temperatures “warm” some into the mid to upper 40s. Conditions will also be mostly sunny.
The cold front associated with the clipper should move in Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. This will lead to low temperatures dropping to around freezing with a slight chance of snow showers as well. We’ll have to watch Thursday morning for isolated slick spots again.
Thursday should remain on the chilly side thanks to the northwest flow behind the surface cold front. Highs will be limited to the low 40s despite mostly sunny skies developing.
