The Headlines
Boy, we went from summer to fall real quick. And I’m loving every minute of it.
After summer wouldn’t go away…it finally went away, replaced by much more seasonable temperatures and beautiful sunny skies. But, this also means I must transition away from baseball gifs to something more seasonably appropriate.
The Details
Ever since the front moved across during the evening on Wednesday, we’ve been under the influence of a high pressure system that’s not only kept our skies sunny but ushered in wonderful temperatures finally more reminiscent of fall.
And thanks to the northerly winds on the back side of the front, we’re going to stay cool and comfortable as we head into this weekend. Temperatures are going to be very similar to yesterday, topping out in the middle 70s under brilliantly sunny skies.
Today: A wonderful, sunny afternoon on tap! Light northeast breeze as well with a high near 75º. Clear skies at night as well, dropping to a crisp 52º for a low.
- Wake up: ☀️ 55°
- Lunch hour: ☀️ 72°
- Afternoon plans: ☀️ 74°
- Evening time: ☀️ 65°
And if you can believe it, it’s going to be even nicer tomorrow!
Another cold front is going to slip through the area dry through the early part of the day tomorrow, giving us a reinforcing shot of cool, crisp fall air. And behind it, we’re going to settle into high pressure once again, keeping our temperatures oh so nice.
Tomorrow: A carbon copy of today on tap, if a bit cooler. Sunny skies remain with a light breeze and a high right around 71º. We’ll have clear skies at night once again, allowing us to fall to around 50º for the overnight.
- Wake up: ☀️ 54°
- Lunch hour: ☀️ 66°
- Afternoon plans: ☀️ 70°
- Evening time: ☀️ 64°
But that doesn’t mean we can’t still see a warm reading or two.
The high pressure will shift a little bit farther to our east for the day on Sunday, this means switching our winds around to a more southerly direction, and this means warmer air coming at us for Sunday. Still seasonably warm but nothing near as bad as the heat we had to endure for the past week plus. And it’ll still be sunny anyway, what’s there to complain about?
Sunday: A bit warmer and a few more clouds, but still very nice to finish off the weekend with a high right around 73º. Mostly clear skies in the overnight with a low of around 57º.
- Wake up: 🌤 68°
- Lunch hour: 🌤 83°
- Afternoon plans: 🌤 85°
- Evening time: 🌤 75°
The Bottomline
- Absolutely wonderful weekend on the way.
- If you’re headed out in the morning any day this week, you’re gonna want to grab a light jacket.
- Slightly warmer weather on Sunday thanks to the eastward shift of the high pressure.
