The Headline
Howdy everyone! I hope we’re all doing well this morning. The headline over the past few days has been unequivocally the summer-like heat. It has been pretty dang terrible.
That is all looking to change, as a nice cool down is on the horizon. Look up in the northern US, there lies a nice autumn airmass!
That is heading towards us over the next few days. The front will be quite slow moving, but it appears as if it should be largely passed through the region by tomorrow evening.
This will occur as a pretty deep trough progresses eastward and moves the ridge that has plagued us with summer-like temperatures to our south.
Before this happens, though, we are still looking at highs rocking into the mid and upper 80s today and tomorrow. I can barely bear this heat any longer, but knowing it’ll be gone after tomorrow is comforting.
This will be quite the weak cold front by the time it reaches us, so only isolated to widely scattered showers/storms are expected. Partly sunny skies should clear out Wednesday night, as well. Thursday looks wonderful. Sunny, and cool temps. Highs are expected to remain in the mid 70s.
The Forecast
Today: Partly cloudy, with highs around 88°F. Overnight, look for mostly clear skies, with lows around 65°F.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy to partly sunny, with isolated showers/storms possible. Highs around 87°F. Overnight, look for clouds clearing out, with lows around 59°F.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with highs around 75°F. Overnight, look for mostly clear skies, with lows around 52°F.
