Could This Weather Just Stay Around Forever?

The Headline

My goodness. This weather has been absolutely awesome, and I am so happy that. This is classic fall weather, and classic football weather.

This morning’s low temperatures were very reminiscent of Fall weather. h/t KY Mesonet

And much like yesterday, the post will be shorter because of how nice the weather is anticipated to be. It is simply exciting, as the next few days look almost exactly the previous few.

We’re currently being influenced by a surface high pressure system, which is associated with a deeper trough over the northeast. These are combining to keep our temps cooler, and allowing us to have great weather.

In addition, a subtle, yet extremely important disturbance, will move southeastward out of the central Plains and into the southeastern US. This will reinforce our trough, and allow surface winds to be northeasterly.

This disturbance is going to move southeastward, reinforcing the northeastern trough AND drawing Irma to the north across Florida. h/t SPC

That will allow us to stay seasonably cool, and will create fantastic weather. Additionally, we may see some lower level cloud cover (much like yesterday) over the next few days.

So, expect temps in the 75-78°F range between now and Sunday, creating for some awesome weather.

Folks, this is bad. Its looking like Irma is going to strike southern Florida as either a Category 4 or 5 storm, and could produce catastrophic damage across the Florida region.

I can’t say much else. If you have family down there, today is their last day to really be able to evacuate. If they’re staying, preparations need to be rushed to completion in the Hurricane Warnings areas.
