Forecast Discussion

Yesterday actually wasn’t a bad day. A little cloudy perhaps and a bit on the muggy side but all-in-all, not too bad and the weather only gets better from there.

A little bit of patchy fog will be possible this morning thanks to what moisture we have left in the atmosphere, it should burn off quickly. Our weather today will be controlled by a little bit of high pressure off to our south today. This means mostly clear skies, lower humidity after the front went through, and the same nice temperatures.

New day, same great temperatures. (Pivotal Weather)

I can find nothing wrong with today. It’s the perfect late spring day to grill out, have a picnic with the family or just take a stroll. It’ll also be a great morning to sit back on the porch with a cup of coffee and reflect.

🇺🇸Monday🇺🇸: Patchy fog possible early. Mostly sunny skies with a high around 80º. Skies remain mostly clear at night with a low of around 60º.

  • Wake up: 🌤 65°
  • Lunch hour: 🌤 74°
  • Afternoon plans: 🌤 80°
  • Evening time: 🌤 64°

The workweek starts off on the same sunny note.

Tuesday is just Monday all over again…seriously, more sunny skies, more nice temperatures and more low humidity, can’t ask for much more than that! The closest any precip will get may be just a few showers early Tuesday morning, but other than that, smooth sailing for another day. And that’s just fine with me…we need some time to dry out.

A couple of showers my try to sneak in late Monday night into Tuesday but it won’t amount to much. (Pivotal Weather)

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny skies again with a high again around 80º. Partly cloudy skies after sundown with another pleasant low in the lower 60s.

  • Wake up: 🌤 63°
  • Lunch hour: 🌤 73°
  • Afternoon plans: 🌤 78°
  • Evening time: 🌤 64°

Unfortunately, shower chances return for Wednesday.

Since we’re now in a broad trough pattern over the eastern half of the country, this will allow disturbances to move in and kick off some showers and storms at times during the rest of the week, with our first of these weak disturbances coming in on Wednesday.

NAM tries to suggest some showers or storms early in the day on Wednesday with dry time in the afternoon. (Pivotal Weather)

Right now the models are suggesting the main rain chance will be in the morning on Wednesday, but we have a couple of days to see how this pans out. Wednesday doesn’t look like a washout by any means, but you may have to dodge a few raindrops.

Wednesday: Outside of possibly a few scattered showers, mostly sunny skies should prevail, mostly clear skies at night too. Temperatures remain consistently around 80º for highs and 60º for lows.

  • Wake up: 🌤/🌧 61°
  • Lunch hour: 🌤/🌧 71°
  • Afternoon plans: 🌤/🌧 78°
  • Evening time: 🌤/🌧 64°

Today’s Key Points

  • The next three days look awfully similar.
  • Patchy fog possible, otherwise mostly sunny.
  • Tuesday also mostly sunny.
  • Outside of a shower or two, Wednesday also mostly sunny.

That just about does it for me! Thanks for checking into wxornotBG this morning, and be sure to follow @wxornotBG and @WKUweather on Twitter and like Landon Hampton on Facebook for the latest weather information throughout the day.
