Cool Temperatures to End the Week

Yesterday’s Weather

Well, that was a chilly, blustery but still wonderfully sunny day. A far cry from the beginning of the week when we were cracking 70ºF. And there was even a touch of…snow. You didn’t read that wrong.

Forecast Discussion

Another round of cool temperatures to start another weekend, where have we seen this before? *takes time machine to last week* Oh, right. Once again, we enter the weekend on the backside of a strong storm system, this time a much needed break after a bout with severe weather.

We’ll spend much of today in northwesterly flow (thanks to high pressure over the northern plains), giving us cool temperatures to round out the work week. And by cool, I mean average but compared to where we’ve been, it’s like an arctic outbreak.

And yes, you know the drill, as we move toward Saturday the weather stays (thankfully) boring as that same high moves to the east and you know what that means.

It means warmer temps! Thanks to the southwesterly flow on the backside of the high, we’ll get a nice boost in the mercury for the day on Saturday, making it by far the pick of the weekend.

All good things must come to an end but in this case not until later on Sunday. Throughout the day, a new system, which will bring a renewed chance of rain for early next week will approach. Any rain will hold off until well after dark Sunday night but it will throw some more clouds our way for the afternoon.

This is a weekend you’re really going to want to get out and enjoy, especially because the next rain chance is knocking on the door to start off next week.

Today’s Key Points
