In one of the brighter news sources regarding the election recently, The Weather Company (parent company of The Weather Channel (TWC)) announced today that on the afternoon and evening of Election Day, TWC will be playing continuous shots of serene, calm music. They also stated that there will be no election coverage during that time! “…as other networks go low, The Weather Channel goes high… to the sky that is. Clouds! Rainbows! Autumn Splendor! And…yes…smooth jazz!”, the press release said.

The marathon will include calm weather videos and pictures, and will last from 3 PM ET through 12 AM ET. I don’t know about you, but that is the best news I have heard all day. Good for you, Weather Channel!
