As a result, light snow will begin to develop during the early morning hours on Wednesday morning. Temperatures just above the surface may warm to above 32°, which would result in possible formation of sleet or freezing rain. However, confidence in this scenario remains low, so be sure to monitor later forecasts for more information.

Wednesday 1/20 – AM Snow Possible – High 35° / Wed Night – Wintry Mix Possible – Low 33°

Wednesday morning, snow showers will continue across the area, some of which may contain heavy snowfall. Generally, I am thinking 1″-3″ of snow is a good bet for Bowling Green, however those amounts may vary in later forecasts. Amounts will likely generally increase from south to north. These numbers may change if the temperature profile warms a bit, and a transition to sleet or freezing rain may occur sooner than expected. Again, monitor updates.

A light wintry mix may continue throughout the rest of the day and night with light accumulations. However, it does not take much ice to cause travel delays. Lows will be around 33°. The main thing to stress about this system is that it will occur in the morning hours, leading to worsening travel conditions.

That should wrap up this forecast. Be sure to come back to monitor future forecasts regarding wintry weather. Follow @WxOrNotBG for the latest Bowling Green weather information. Have a great day!
