Rainy, But Cooler Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 8/17 – Mostly Cloudy; Showers – High 82° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 67°

A small upper level low pressure system is parked over the region this morning. This will allow for showers to move into the region from the south during the morning hours. Clouds will likely hang around most of the day with off and on showers possible. Highs will be around 82°. Spoiler alert: more rain is to come.

The upper level low will pull off to the north and east of the region tonight. Partly cloudy skies will continue into the overnight with a low around 67°.

Tuesday 8/18 – Mostly Cloudy; Scattered Showers – High 85° / Tue Night – Isolated Showers – Low 73°

We’ll be in between systems on Tuesday as the upper level low moves to the northeast and a large trough takes shape to the west of the region. Upper level flow to mid level flow will be from the southwest. Divergence aloft will promote lift across the region, keeping us in the clouds with scattered showers once again. Highs will be around 85°.

Because the temperature is nice outside, but it might be too rainy to do anything.

Tuesday night the trough will continue to get closer to the region. Isolated Showers will be possible with a low around 73°.

Wednesday 8/19 – Scattered Showers and Storms – High 84° / Wed Night – Isolated Showers – Low 68°

The trough will be just to the west of the region on Wednesday. Widespread divergence aloft across the Ohio Valley will promote lifting across the same area. Thus, clouds and rain should be expected. A lack of a cap across the region should lead to scattered showers and storms early in the day, and continuing through much of the day. Highs will be around 84°.
