Real-time Bowling Green weather radar:
Today 5/4 – Partly Sunny – High 82° / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 57°
6am 54˚ – 9am 64˚ – 12pm 75˚ – 3pm 80˚ – 6pm 77˚
Good Monday morning, if you thought the weather was nice this weekend, you are in luck. An upper-level ridge is expected to remain positioned over the eastern U.S. through most of the work week which will result in beautiful days with highs in the lower 80s. I know it’s hard to believe but it looks like we will have a dry week with warm temperatures as well.
What do we mean when we talk about an upper-level ridge? Ridging in the jet stream often often promotes dry and warm weather. Check out the ridge expected to park over our region this week:
Tuesday 5/5 – Mostly Sunny – High 83° / Tue Night – Mostly Clear – Low 59°
Expect a carbon copy of today’s weather on Tuesday as the ridge continues to dominate our weather pattern. Be sure and take full advantage of the sunshine like these cats do…
Wednesday 5/6 – Partly Cloudy – High 84° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 60°
Temperatures may be a degree or two warmer on Wednesday, but otherwise expect another beautiful day with just a slight increase in cloud cover. I must say, with the help of this upper-level ridge this may have been on of the easiest forecasts I have written.
That’s all I’ve got for this morning, enjoy the beautiful weather today and be sure to keep up with @WxOrNotBG, @WarrenCountyWX, and @wkuCHAOS on Twitter for real-time weather updates.
