Beautiful Bowling Green Weather

Real-time Bowling Green weather radar:

Today, 5/2 – Mostly Sunny & Warmer – High 76˚ / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 51˚

Good Saturday morning, Bowling Green, and Happy Derby Day! Beautiful weather will continue today for “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports”. Whether you’re heading to the Derby or staying home and grilling out, today looks like a perfect day to spend outside. The weather has left us spoiled this week, and will continue to treat us nicely well into and past our forecast period.

High pressure will continue dominating the region, keeping our area dry and under mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will finally return to the average, as highs reach the mid-70s; the average high temperature for Bowling Green for this time of year is 74°. With sunshine, warm temperatures, and light winds, I shouldn’t have to tell you to go out and enjoy this beautiful May day!

Tonight, temperatures will drop into the low 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Sunday, 5/3 – Mostly Sunny – High 80˚ / Saturday Night – Mostly Clear – Low 54˚

I may sound like a broken record player, but I guess it’s not necessarily a bad thing! Dry weather is expected Sunday, as temperatures begin to gradually climb. Ridging in the upper-atmosphere and surface winds from the south will work to bring us warmer temperatures for the end of the weekend.

Highs across the western part of the state will hit the upper 70s; with the southerly flow, I would not be surprised to see some areas break the 80° mark. Temperatures Sunday night will remain in the mid-50s under mostly clear skies.

Monday, 5/4 – Mostly Sunny – High 82˚ / Sunday Night – Partly Cloudy & Mild – Low 59˚

May the 4th be with you! While temperatures are expected to hit the upper-70s Sunday, 80s are in store for the week as winds amp up and shift southwesterly.

For those of us who have been struggling with what to wear on a daily basis (cool in the morning, warm in the afternoon sun), next week will definitely be shorts weather. Get pumped. Low temperatures will be quite mild as we move into next week, with temperatures remaining in the upper-50s overnight.

Overall, the weather looks pretty darn beautiful as students here at Western wrap up their spring semesters. Be sure to take a study break and enjoy the sunshine!
