Friday Afternoon Bowling Green Weather Update

Real-time Bowling Green weather radar:

This Afternoon – Mostly Sunny – High 69˚ / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 46˚

3pm 68˚ – 6pm 66˚ – 9pm 60˚ – 12am 56˚ – 3am 51˚ – 6am 46˚

A quiet weather pattern has encompassed most of the country and will last through the weekend. Quiet weather is due to the polar branch of the jet stream staying to the north of the United States with the subtropical portion of the jet stream staying south of the Gulf of Mexico this weekend.

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful Friday afternoon under mostly sunny skies with temps remaining in the upper 60s. Low temperatures will dip into the middle to upper 40s across the region tonight under clear skies. Winds will be calm so do not be surprised if we see some fog form in some of the outlying areas overnight; especially in valleys.

Saturday, 5/2 – Partly Cloudy – High 75˚ / Saturday Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 51˚

Expect another beautiful day tomorrow as surface high pressure will park right over the Tennessee and Ohio valleys. The only difference from today will be slightly warmer temperatures with a few more afternoon clouds tomorrow. Overall, it looks like a great day for outdoor activities across the state; especially the Kentucky Derby.

Sunday 5/3 – Mostly Sunny – High 80˚ /Sun Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 55˚

Another beautiful day is expected on Sunday with high temperatures making a run at 80º as surface winds turn to the south.

Expect a slight increase in cloud cover Sunday night as a disturbance passes to our northwest. Otherwise, the weekend will end on a pleasant note with lows reaching the middle 50s.

That’s all I’ve got for this afternoon, enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend. For real-time weather updates, remember to follow @WxOrNotBG, @wkuCHAOS, and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter.
