After the cold front and precipitation moved through the region yesterday, northwest winds ushered in colder air behind it. Today, highs will be several degrees below average for this time of year, as temperatures will hit the upper-50s to around 60° by the afternoon. Thanks to high pressure, however, these temperatures won’t feel so cool under sunny skies. Lows will drop into the mid-30s overnight.

Easter Sunday, 4/5 – Mostly Sunny – High 66˚ / Sunday Night – Clouds Increasing; Iso’d Showers – Low 48˚

After a cool start to the morning, southerly winds will allow temperatures to warm into the mid-60s for our Easter Sunday. The day will begin under mostly sunny skies, but as the high pressure that allowed us such nice weather Saturday works its way off the Atlantic coast, clouds will begin to increase by the late afternoon and evening.

Don’t worry, though! You should have plenty of time to go on your Easter egg hunts and enjoy the outdoors, as conditions are expected to stay dry and mostly sunny for the majority of the day.

Southerly winds at the surface will bring in warm, moist air from the Gulf, increasing the possibility for us to see isolated showers beginning Sunday night. Temperatures will remain quite mild overnight due to increased cloud cover and winds from the south; lows will remain in the upper 40s to around 50°.

Monday, 4/6 – Sct’d Showers & Storms – High 65˚ / Monday Night – Sct’d Showers & Storms – Low 59˚

Monday will begin what looks like a pretty wet workweek. So if you’re like me and your umbrella broke sometime in the last two days, be sure to pick up a new one before getting back into the swing of things on Monday… You’ll need it.

Zonal flow higher up in the atmosphere, along with southerly flow at the surface, will bring rain chances throughout the week as moist air is constantly being advected into our area. Not really what you want to be hearing? Yeah, me either.

Temperatures will be on a general warming trend as the week progresses, starting with highs once again in the mid-60s for Monday. Lows will be unseasonably warm throughout the week, as they hang around the upper-50s/low-60s range.
