Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:
Today 12/11 -Decreasing Clouds; Chilly – High 42º / Tonight – Partly Cloudy; Cold — Low 25º

Good morning, if you are a fan of quiet weather you will certainly enjoy the forecast over the next several days. Temperatures are currently in the upper 20s across southern Kentucky under mostly cloudy skies. It will be another chilly day as high temperatures reach the lower 40s this afternoon. Skies will become partly cloudy this afternoon and we can expect mostly clear skies overnight with lows falling to the middle 20s.
What’s to blame for this quiet weather? A pesky trough to our west has become nearly stationary after losing upper-level support. As a result, an upper-level ridge will move over our area over the next few days and not move east very quickly. At the surface high pressure will build over the Tennesee Valley and keep our skies mostly clear.
Fri – Mostly Sunny; Warmer – High 47º / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 31º
Expect the calm weather to continue tomorrow. The only difference will be our higher temperatures running a few degrees warmer than today under mostly clear skies. Not a bad way to end the work week..
Low temperatures will fall to the freezing mark tomorrow night under partly cloudy skies.
Sat – Mostly Sunny; Warmer – High 49º / Sat Night – Partly Cloudy; Cold – Low 34º
Ridging aloft will continue to keep us dry over the weekend. Expect mostly sunny skies on Saturday with high temperatures approaching 50º and lows falling into the lower to middle 30s.
