Changes Coming for Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

This Afternoon – Scattered Thunderstorms – High 71° / Tonight – Scattered Showers Ending – Low 48°

3pm 66º – 6pm 64º – 9pm 56º – 12am 52º – 3am 50º – 6am 48º

Good afternoon, we are currently seeing ongoing showers and thunderstorms in southern Kentucky along a cold front pushing east across the state. Temperatures reached 70º earlier this morning before the rain moved in and we will see our temperatures slowly drop for the remainder of the afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening before eventually coming to an end overnight as the cold front moves off to the east. Surface winds will become westerly behind the front and expect a slow decrease in cloud cover after midnight. Low temperatures will drop into the upper 40s overnight.

Wednesday 10/29 – Partly Cloudy – High 63° / Wed Night – Mostly Clear – Low 37°

An upper-level trough will settle over the eastern U.S. on Wednesday which will help to usher in a colder air mass behind the front. High temperatures are expected to reach the lower 60s with lows in the upper 30s overnight.

Surface high pressure will build into the Missouri Valley during the day, and this will help to keep skies clear on Wednesday.

Thursday 10/30 – Partly Cloudy – High 59° / Thur Night – Mostly Cloudy, Stray Shower Possible – Low 43°

Expect cool and calm conditions to continue on Thursday as surface high pressure will be centered over Kentucky. A weak clipper disturbance looks to move through the upper-level trough Thursday night and this will bring an increase in cloud cover to the area overnight. There is a chance this clipper system could bring a few isolated showers to southern Kentucky but as now it looks like most of the rainfall will be off to our north.

A reinforcing shot of cold air will swing through with this clipper system and pleasant weather is looking likely this weekend with highs in the 50s. Not a bad forecast for the Halloween weekend.
