Sunday Morning Weather Update

Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 10/19 – Mostly Sunny – High 62º / Sun Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 41º

6am 45º – 9am 52º – 12pm 58º – 3pm 62º – 6pm 57º

Good morning, we are off to a chilly start today as temperatures are still in the middle 40s. Surface high pressure will dominate today’s weather and keep things quiet across the region. Expect mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the lower 60s this afternoon.

Temperatures will remain on the cool side over the next several days as our area will be  under the influence of an upper-level trough. Light winds and clear skies overnight will help low temperatures drop into the lower 40s.

Monday – Mostly Cloudy, Slight Chance for Showers – High 67º / Mon Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 48º

A weak clipper system will rotate through this upper-level trough tomorrow and spread a few showers across Kentucky during the afternoon. Not all of us will see rain, but an isolated shower cannot be ruled out.

Outside of any shower chances, expect temperatures to be slightly warmer than today thanks to southerly winds ahead of the clipper system. A weak cold front will pass over Kentucky tomorrow night behind the clipper system, and we can expect a slow clearing of skies overnight with lows in the upper 40s.

Tuesday – Partly Cloudy – High 65º / Mon Night – Mostly Clear – Low 42º

Quiet weather will return on Tuesday although we will have to watch out for some cloud cover during the day. The upper-level trough that is over our area today will have shifted east and developed into a cutoff low by Tuesday. An area of denser cloud cover associated with the cutoff will sit just to our east on Tuesday and we will have to keep an eye to see if cloud cover shifts back west any.

Otherwise, expect pleasant weather with highs in the middle 60s and lows in the lower 40s.
