Frost Advisory Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for southern Indiana and central Kentucky, in effect from 2AM CDT to 8AM CDT. With clearing skies and light winds, temperatures are expected to drop into the low to mid-30s across the area tonight. A Frost Advisory simply means that frost is possible, and outdoor plants could be damaged if not protected. Below are the forecasted lows for the central part of the state tonight:

KY Frost

Brr! But Kentucky isn’t the only area feeling the effects of the current upper-level trough; many states will be bracing the cold during the overnight hours, as seen by the low temperature map below:

As temperatures drop into the 30s tonight, be sure to protect any sensitive plants and wrap up if you’re heading out! It is definitely beginning to feel like a different season here in Bowling Green.
