Freeze Hits the Great Lakes Region

While temperatures have been relatively cool in southern Kentucky, winter is taking a strike at the Great Lakes region. A large area of frost advisories and freeze watches/warnings are in effect in Minesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, as well as the interior Northeast.

Areas that see clear skies in the Great Lakes region will see low temperatures dip below freezing tonight. The cold will then move east into the interior northeast where many locations will see their first frost of the season. Even though we are just beginning to settle into fall here, fall will be coming into an end in portions of Minnesota over the next several weeks. The leaves are already changing colors in some places although no locations are seeing peak fall foliage.
