Storms En Route For Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 9/9 – Partly Cloudy – High 87° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 67°

Some more moisture will begin to work into the region due to an approaching low pressure system. This increase in moisture will be rather subtle, so it won’t impact the forecast too much. Temperatures will be a bit warmer compared to yesterday though. The strong low pressure system will bring more substantial impacts to the weather tomorrow and in the coming days. Partly cloudy skies seem reasonable with a high of 87°. Great forecast, no big deal.

Partly cloudy skies will likely continue overnight as we won’t see too much of an influx of moisture into the region. Lows will be around 67°.

Wednesday 9/10 – Partly Cloudy – High 90° / Wed Night – Scattered Thunderstorms Late – Low 71°

On Wednesday the vigorous low pressure system will move into the upper Mississippi and Ohio Valleys. This will drape a cold front from the Great Lakes, southwestward through Texas. This cold front will cause numerous thunderstorms across the aforementioned corridor of the US. This will move eastward with time. With that being said, I do not thing we’ll see any precipitation during the daylight hours. Thus, we’ll go with partly cloudy skies and a high around 90°.

Wednesday night, the cold front will get closer to the region. A few thunderstorms may form ahead of the cold front during the evening hours. The main show will likely be after midnight. A few of the storms may be strong along the cold front. Gusty winds, heavy rain, and vivid lightning remain to be the main threats. Storms should weaken and diminish towards daybreak. The low will be around 71°.

Thursday 9/11 – Iso’d Storms Early; Partly Cloudy Later – High 77° / Thur Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 59°

Our well advertised fall blast will finally arrive on Thursday. A few isolated thunderstorms will be possible early in the day, but the cold front will move off to the east, taking the moisture with it. In the wake of the frontal passage, cloudy skies will give way to partly cloudy skies and cooler conditions. Our highs will feel quite nice around 77°. Yeah, you do your happy dance that everyone else thinks is weird. I know I will.

On Thursday night we’ll see those partly cloudy skies stick around before fading to mostly clear skies. Given the drier air mass in place and the lack of cloud cover, our lows will drop into the upper 50s for the night.
