Bowling Green Weather, Sunday

Bowling Green Weather

Real-time Radar:

Today 8/24 – Isolated T’Storms – High 92° // Tonight – Isolated T’Storms – Low 72°

6am 71º – 9am 80º – 12pm 88º – 3pm 92º – 6pm 87º

Good Sunday morning to everyone reading. Looks like we got a good lawn watering last night with an area of weakening convection that overtook the area. Needless to say, drought conditions have greatly improved over the past couple of weeks. It appears the weather situation will be much of the same for today as well, we’ll heat up into the low 90s with isolated showers and storms being possible throughout the afternoon and evening.

Here’s a look at the surface map for 1pm today:

Keep an eye on the radar today as the showers and storms can develop anywhere at any time. With weak upper level support, they’ll want to stick around as we’ve seen the past couple days. Other than that, expect lows into the low 70s with patchy fog possible in some areas.

Monday 8/25 – Isolated T’Storms – High 91° // Monday Night – Isolated T’Storms – Low 72°

Monday’s weather will be very similar to Sunday, upper level winds aren’t changing much and it will be another warm and muggy summer day. Expect to see highs into the low 90s once again and the threat of showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon and evening. Seems like we’re stuck on repeat here.

Same thing here as well, watch for lingering showers and storms in the evening and overnight with lows in the low 70s.

Tuesday 8/26 – Isolated T’Storms – High 90° // Tuesday Night – Isolated T’Storms – Low 71°

Model guidance is suggesting that over time the ridge of high pressure over the eastern part of the country will slowly break down a bit, each day baring a slight down tick in high temperature expectations. Still yet, warm with a high around 90 and muggy for Tuesday, with isolated showers and storms possible. Jet stream still to our north and avoiding us.

Here’s a look at NAM suggested 300mb heights and winds, depicting the ridge still in place, and jet stream to the north:

Again, same thing, we may have a stray shower or storm in the area into the evening and overnight hours, lows expected to be in the low 70s.

Seems we’re stuck in this ridge for a few more days, hence, the same expectations for weather conditions each day.

That sums it up for now, folks. Be sure to stay up to date with all your real time Bowling Green weather info @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWX on Twitter. Have a great Sunday!
