Iowa Hit By Extreme Flooding

Extreme flooding has impacted the state of Iowa the past few days, with some pretty incredible scenes unfolding as a result.  The area has been struck by a number of strong and severe weather over the past few days, and this continues today.  The following is a screenshot taken from the Iowa Flood Center.  Current flood alerts for streams and rivers decorate the state like a Christmas tree:

A lot of damage has resulted in numerous locations.  Washed out bridges and collapsed roads have been reported:

Hopefully the rain comes to an end sooner rather than later in these locations.  If not, the weather will just be rubbing salt into the wound.  That is some serious flooding.
