Today – Partly Sunny, Increasing Clouds – High 67 / Tonight – Scat’d Showers – Low 40

7am 44 ~ 10am 57 ~ 1pm 63 ~ 4pm 67 ~ 7pm 58

Cold front will approach from our northwest today, causing an increase in cloud coverage as the day progresses.  Tonight, the front will sag to our south, with trailing, scattered precip expected to follow.  Latest soundings suggest no thunder.  Rain amounts should be light, not exceeding a few tenths of an inch.  Here is a look at the current weather setup across the Continental US:

Tues – Partly Sunny – High 56 / Tues Night – Scat’d Showers – Low 37

7am 41 ~ 10am 52 ~ 1pm 55 ~ 4pm 56 ~ 7pm 49
We will experience a brief break from rain through our Tuesday, with a series of upper level disturbances closing in on us from the northwest.  These impulses of energy will reintroduce scattered showers to the forecast Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Wed – Partly Sunny, Iso’d Showers- High 50 / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 34
High pressure will build in behind the reinforcing cold front, supplementing partly to mostly sunny skies across south central Kentucky.  Before this takes place, we could see a stray shower or two lingering from the setup we will have in place.
The air accompanying our atmosphere will have quite a bite to it through the last half of the work week, as temperatures are suppressed to the upper 40s – lower 50s.
That will be all for now, gang.  I’ll be back this afternoon with another update on our conditions.
