The shortwave trough and Gulf moisture that combined to bring rain to the region last night and early this morning has advanced to our east/northeast. This has allowed for a few rays of sun to shine through, which we should see more of as we get later into the afternoon and evening. Outside of a stray shower, we’ll enjoy a nice remainder of the day.

Back to scientifics…the model below shows current frontal positions and visible satellite. As you can see, we’re sandwiched between the cloud deck to our south, and clearing skies to our north:
An upper ridge will begin to build over us tonight, clearing out our skies and setting up nice conditions for the rest of the work week. This will be a welcomed forecast after the damp conditions we’ve had to deal with today.
