Quiet weather? That is something we have not had much of around here over the last few months. This past week has been very nice and it looks like we see more above average temperatures continue.
Temps Back in the 70s for the Weekend
The main difference in the forecast today is the return of sunny skies. We begin to see the clouds move out and sunshine return to the region. Warm southerly flow will ramp up and temperatures will soar into the mid-70s this afternoon.
Temperatures are going to be well above average through the weekend. Our average high temperature is 64 degrees for this time of year. We will be 10-15 degrees above that.
High pressure will also keep us dry through the weekend. We are not expecting any rain as mostly sunny skies look to dominate over the next 3 days. Record highs are in the 80s for the coming days and it does not look like any of those number will be reached.
This warmth will be widespread across the eastern part of the country with most areas well into the upper 70s by Sunday. The humidity will stay low so it will be pleasant conditions, to say the least.
The Tropics won’t Die
Tropical Storm Zeta will find its way back towards the U.S. Early next week. It will likely be a tropical storm still when it affects south Florida. The main threat is going to be heavy rain for the southern part of the Sunshine state. If Zeta makes it back into the Gulf, we will have to see if further strengthening will ensue.
