Hot Today
Good morning south-central Kentucky, get ready for temperatures reaching the mid 80’s today and even warmer on Friday and Saturday. Moisture builds back into our region as the weekend approaches providing us a hot week, storms possible on weekend.
Temperatures this afternoon will be in the mid 80’s with light winds and no chance of rain. The humidity will stay pretty low which will make going outside today bearable as you will be able to sweat to stay cool.
Hotter and Dry Again Tomorrow
Taking off from the low 70’s tomorrow morning, temperatures will vault to the low 90’s in the afternoon. With no rain chances, light winds, and low humidity, this would be a great day to hit the pool.
Remember to give your outdoor pets plenty of water. They can get hot, too.
Storms Possible on Weekend
Humidity values rise again on Saturday as moisture returns to our region behind a slight southern breeze. Scattered storms are possible throughout the day, but especially in the afternoon as highs reach the upper 80’s.
A small chance exists on Saturday for the storms to become severe. The most likely impacts would be strong winds or large hail, so keep an eye on the weather if you are planning to enjoy your weekend outside.
Rain chances stay increased on Sunday with more storms possible that should keep our crops and gardens watered. Follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
