An Influx of Sunshine to Come This Weekend

Top of the morning to you! How has your week been so far? We hope wonderful! In today’s post, we take a look at the outlook for today, this weekend, and the following week!

Our Friday energy! (GIPHY)

Today

Today, that pesky, overbearing cloud cover will stick around, not allowing for us to rule out a stray shower. We stay mostly dry until the evening, when a cold front will pass through our region. This will introduce the chance for scattered showers within our community. Don’t worry, though, these will be brief and produce light amounts of precipitation.

In comparison to yesterday, conditions will be slightly cooler, as we will only warm up to around the low 50’s in the afternoon. If you’re out and about, packing a spare jacket will be a good move to keep warm from the fresh, cooler breeze. As the sun goes down, temperatures will drop with it, bottoming out in the upper 30’s.

The Weekend

For the weekend, our state will remain sandwiched in between low pressure systems, with high pressure influencing our forecast. Gloom no more! Expect nothing more than sunshine and a consistent, crisp breeze. If you don’t have plans to get outdoors yet, now’s your chance to!

There will not be much variety with temperatures for both days, as high’s will reach the lower 50’s and low’s will drop to the lower 30’s. Our only concern will be with early morning wind chills that will be below freezing. If you plan to be out and about, bundle up accordingly.

Into the New Week

Into the new week, the gradual increase of cloud cover will once again happen, thanks to an incoming low pressure system. Whilst Monday and Tuesday remain dry, with partly sunny conditions, the return of showers will take place on Wednesday. On the bright side, temperatures will be on the rise, with high’s reaching the mid-70’s on Tuesday, and high 70’s on Wednesday.

For the end of the week, the Climate Prediction Center predicts that temperatures will be around average and precipitation will be moderately above normal. Thus, chances for precipitation look to stay in the forecast.
