Good Sunday morning, everyone! Welcome to another addition of our weather blog. The past few days we have seen a number of slow moving showers and storms make their way across the region. These abrupt storms are possible again today to close out the weekend.
Breaking It Down
Most of us will start off the morning here under mostly cloudy conditions and the air will actually feel quite refreshing in the low 70s as you maybe head off to church or the grocery store. By lunchtime though, our rain and storm chances become more prevalent as yesterday played out to be.
These storms will be scattered, slow moving, and produce heavy rainfall. If you live in an area that is prone to flooding, be mindful of this as this is definitely a threat come later this afternoon and evening. The high today will be well below average right 83 degrees.
Into the late evening and early morning, a round of widespread showers and storms will likely move through for all with a low of about 70 degrees.
A Wet Start to the Week
Monday and Tuesday consist yet again of more rain and storms. This time, expect these days to see even more wet weather throughout each day than over the weekend. We will see some breaks in the action, but you can definitely expect on and off showers and storms. The temperature will remain below average in the low to mid 80s.
Getting to the middle of the week, the temperature ramps up to the upper 90s and we begin to see more sunshine as the forecast returns to a chance of pop-up showers. When it’s all said and done, I think we will have accumulated around an inch of rain by Wednesday.
That’s all for today! Thanks for reading and be sure to follow our live weather feed on twitter, @wxornotBG. Have a great week!
