Beautiful Most of Today

Not much goes into today’s forecast other than the fact that we will see plentiful sunshine for most of the day with a high in the upper 80s. This is thanks to a high pressure over the Carolinas. As the day progresses starting around lunchtime, folks will see clouds begin to move in. I expect that by around sunset, we will be mostly cloudy which will foreshadow the pattern that is going to set in for the next few days and possibly week.

Overnight, conditions will remain mostly cloudy with a low in the high 60s.

Rain Returns on Sunday

An organized system down over the Arkansas/Louisiana/Texas region will progress northward toward our neck of the woods bringing us rain chances on Sunday. I think most of us have punched our ticket to see rain in the morning hours, but after that, they should remain scattered. Otherwise, expect it to be mostly cloudy with a high in the low 80s.

The same story is expected Sunday night with a high of 68.

Rainy and Stormy Pattern Ahead

The rain and storms continue into the week this week where it appears that everyday comes with its own rain and storm chances with a high in the low-to-mid 80s. This will be caused by instability in the atmosphere as well as moisture moving in from the Gulf of Mexico among other factors.

I know this isn’t an ideal forecast, but the week isn’t going to be a washout. Most days will be scattered on the action, but I am expecting Monday to be our wettest day.
