Clouds Clear Today

Saturday’s rainfall totals ended up at around an inch of rain across the WABBLES region, according to the Kentucky Mesonet. The rain finally moved out during the evening hours and the clouds are set to move out today.

We woke up this morning to partly to mostly cloudy skies , but skies are expected to clear out by the afternoon hours.

With the return of the sun, our highs look to warm up a bit too. Highs today will end up in the upper 60’s, closer to normal. Skies look to remain clear as we head into the overnight hours and temperatures cool into the mid 40’s.

Big Temperature Jump Monday

Thinking ahead to the new work week, Monday looks to be a beautiful day! A high pressure takes over for most of the day, which will keep our skies cloud free. Temperatures are also forecasted to make a big jump, up to nearly 80°!

Tuesday will be another warm spring day with highs getting back into the 80’s! It’s been quite a while since we saw highs that warm! Clouds will be on the increase again, though, as our next system rolls in from the west.

Next Storm Chances Come Wednesday

A cold front will roll through on Wednesday bringing a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially during the overnight hours. Nothing looks to be strong at the moment, but we’ll bring updates as we get closer to that timeframe.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy this beautiful Sunday!
