Good morning, everyone! Yep, you read that right! We will enjoy one more day of seasonal weather before we experience way below average temperatures with some light snow possible.
Embrace Today
Today will be much like any other spring day here recently with plenty of sunshine to go around to start the day and a high temperature right around 70 degrees. Not much more needs to be said about today besides to enjoy it because a cold front moving through will bring much chillier conditions.
Transition to “Winter” Overnight
Into the evening hours, clouds begin to thicken and become more prevalent as a result of the cold front. Naturally, with clouds can come precipitation, and that is what we will see overnight.
It’s looking like anything that falls before midnight will be rain, but anything that falls after this hour could fall as snow. With the low near 35 degrees, this is plausible. DO NOT fret, less than a half inch is expected at this time.
With this being said, make sure you move any vulnerable plants indoors or cover them, and be sure to shut your windows unless you want to freeze. No judgment here.
Below Normal Highs for Wednesday and Thursday
The first part of Wednesday will be mostly cloudy as a result of the overnight weather, but conditions will clear by mid afternoon. Even though the sun will be out, the high temperature will be in the low 50’s due to the cold air settling in behind the cold front.
Wednesday night will be very chilly with the threat of some frosting with the low near 34. However, it will remain dry.
Thursday will be very similar to Wednesday, but a bit warmer, with a high in the upper 50’s and sunshine continuing to dominate.
That’s all for today’s post. Be sure to follow our live weather feed on Twitter, @wxornotBG, and also on Instagram and Facebook. Stay warm tonight!
