Today

Looking at current radar this morning there are some showers scattered around the area. These will continue to move through the area this morning as they work themselves to the northeast.

Current Radar

More rain and a few thunderstorms will continue to develop through the morning, and work their way through the area by late afternoon.

Future Radar (Pivotal Weather)

There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) for severe weather for extreme eastern WABBLES, but this does not look like a serious concern for us. Nevertheless, we will be keeping an eye on this.

SPC Day 1 Outlook

In terms of temperatures, we are already around 60 for much of the state. These will rise throughout the morning and afternoon to around 70 for our high.

Current Temps (KY Mesonet)

Wind gusts today also look to be a bit on the heavier side today. Periodic wind gusts up to 30mph is certainly not out of the question throughout the day.

Wind Gusts this Afternoon (Pivotal Weather)

Friday

Starting off Friday, we could see some low level clouds throughout the morning. These will burn off as it gets warmer throughout the morning and afternoon. Clouds will eventually return during the evening as another chance for rain and storms moves in.

Future Radar Friday Evening (Pivotal Weather)

These rain/storms Friday evening will have the best chance at producing heavy rain at times and some thunder. These will likely continue on until early Saturday morning where the SPC does have a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) that cuts WABBLES in half.

SPC Day 3 Outlook

This threat for severe weather will be as any storms are making their way out of WABBLES, so this shouldn’t be a serious threat with this round of storms.

Temps on Friday will stick to being in the upper 70s across the area again. Areas that see the most amount of sunshine tomorrow have a great shot at seeing temps hit 80.

Temperature Outlook for Friday (Pivotal Weather)

This Weekend

Saturday morning, like we mentioned earlier, will be seeing the backside of storms that developed late Friday. The chance for scattered rain and thunderstorms will persist all day Saturday, unfortunately.

Any storms that do develop on Saturday, will carry a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for severe weather with them. The overall threat is very low, but not 0 so these will need to be watched.

Projected Temps Saturday Afternoon (Pivotal Weather)

Sunday look to be a bit cooler than Saturday, keeping the highs in the mid 60s. Winds will also be fairly gusty throughout the day with some gusts getting up to 15-20 mph.

Wind Gusts Sunday Afternoon (Pivotal Weather)

There will also be a chance for some scattered low to mid level clouds throughout the day on Sunday, but overall, it looks to be a very nice day.
