Dry Trend Ends From Mid-Week Disturbance

Good morning to you! We hope that you are having a wonderful week so far and that the title didn’t dampen the mood. In today’s post, we go into detail on what to expect both today and tomorrow as far as precipitation timing and threats go.

So long dry trend…(GIPHY)

Today

Today, we will stay mostly dry, but spotty showers and storms will start to enter our region this afternoon and into the evening. This will be thanks to an approaching cold front. Fortunately, these will be brief and light, only producing around a tenth of an inch of precipitation.

In comparison to yesterday, temperatures will remain about the same. Our high will take place in the afternoon, reaching the upper 70’s. We won’t cool off much into the night, with our low lingering in the lower 60’s.

Tomorrow

At the start of tomorrow, a second round of showers and storms will pass through, only lasting until the early afternoon. The brunt of the precipitation will take place around the time that you awaken and are off to work. Because of this, roads may be slippery, so drive with caution.

Our main concern will be the potential for gusty winds as the frontal boundary sweeps through our community. We may have gusts reach up to 30 miles per hour. Make sure you stay alert when on the way to work.

Once these end, the rest of the day looks to be mostly sunny. Due to the cold front, temperatures will be slightly cooler than today. Our high will reach the lower 70’s and our low will be in the lower 50’s.

UV Indices on the Rise

For the rest of the work week, the UV Index will be creeping up to high values. If you plan on spending long periods of time outdoors, make sure you stay prepared. Keep sunblock (15-SPF+), protective clothing and accessories, and a bottle of water handy.
