Dry and Warm Trend Continues

Good Tuesday morning, WABBLES community! It was a great start to the week yesterday with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s. If you were up watching the Baylor/Gonzaga game last night and have celebratory plans for today, the weather will indeed hold out as a dry and warm trend continues.

Summer-Like Temperatures Today

This morning, we will start out in the upper 50s but quickly climb to the lower 70s by around noon. Around the beginning of rush-hour we will top out at 80 degrees if not, close! I don’t know about you, but these temperatures lately have had me feeling summer fever.

With plenty of sunshine out there today, you’ll likely break a sweat if you are on an afternoon stroll. Overnight, expect temperatures to be comfortable in the 50s with Clear conditions.

Rain and Storms Move In Wednesday Afternoon

For Wednesday morning, we will start off sunny and warm, much like the preceding days, which will be deceiving. However, come afternoon, we will see a few showers as a low pressure system from the west approaches the area. The high temperature will top out in the upper 70s once more.

In the early evening and into the overnight, multiple rounds of lines of storms will move through. These will have the potential to be severe, but model output right now is suggesting only your classic thunderstorms, with moderate wind and heavy rain.

SPC right now has us seeing merely thunderstorms on Wednesday with no severe threat. (SPC)

These storms and showers will linger into the early morning hours on Thursday before turning into a few scattered showers under mostly cloudy skies for the day on Thursday. Overall, expect about an inch of rain from this system.

Friday, we will return to the usual conditions around here lately consisting of a forecast of sunny and 75 degrees.

That’s all for today! Thanks for reading and be sure to follow our live weather feed to stay up to date on Wednesday’s storms @wxornotBG, and also on Facebook and Instagram.
