Good morning, everyone! Today’s post will go over the difference in forecast for today and tomorrow. In short, today will be dry and tomorrow will be wet, with a potential for severe weather. We go into detail about this below.
Ideal Spring Day Today
There’s not much to report on today, other than that it will be a stunner. We can’t rule out a stray shower, but we will stay dry with mostly sunny skies, a fresh breeze, and mild temperatures. Our high for the day is likely to surpass the 70 degree mark.
As far as the UV Index goes, the Environmental Protection Agency has our community in the 6 to 7 range. If you plan on going outside for an extended period of time, have SPF-15+ sunblock and protective clothing on hand. Don’t forget to stay hydrated, too.
Threat for Severe Weather Tomorrow
Tomorrow, the Storm Prediction Center has the entire community of WABBLES within a slight to enhanced risk for severe weather. Our main concern will be the threat for excessive rainfall and damaging winds. More information on each threat below.
In the morning, showers and storms will start to enter our region and will intensify into the evening. As of now, anticipated precipitation totals are up to 1 inch, with locally higher amounts likely. This means that isolated flash floods are possible, so be cautious when on the roads.
Furthermore, the threat for gusty winds will also take place in the evening. We may have gusts reach over 30 miles per hour. If you have any belongings outside that may be vulnerable to this, make sure you bring them inside for the night.
