Threat for Severe Weather Today and Tomorrow

Good morning, everyone! We hope that everyone is having a great week so far! For today’s post, we will go into the specifics of what to expect for the rest of the week. In short, we will be wet today and tomorrow, then dry into the weekend.

Severe Weather Outlook

For today and tomorrow, the Storm Prediction Center has the entire community of WABBLES under a marginal risk for severe weather. Our main threats are heavy rain, gusty winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes. We go into detail on each threat below.

Today, we may have showers move into our region as early as noon. These will become widespread as the day goes on. Tomorrow, showers will remain scattered for the entirety of the day.

For both days, the threat for heavy rain is highest in the overnight hours. As of now, the total accumulation for today and tomorrow is around 1 inch, with locally higher values possible. Be careful driving to and from work, as roadways may be slick.

For both days, the threat for gusty winds is highest in the evening to overnight hours. These winds may gust up to 25 miles per hour. Other than that, winds will remain around 5 to 10 miles per hour today and 10 to 15 miles per hour tomorrow.
