Mild Today & Tomorrow!

THURSDAY: As you awaken on this Thursday morning, temperatures will generally be in the mid-to-upper 30s across our region under mostly clear skies. Winds from south/southwest will allow temperatures to moderate quickly, and by the afternoon hours, temperatures will reach the middle 60s! Mostly sunny skies, as well as dry weather will persist through the duration of the day.

FRIDAY: Featuring a near-repeat of today’s weather (temperature wise), Friday will start out around 40-degrees or so under partly cloudy skies. Clouds will increase throughout the day, with afternoon highs once again topping out in the middle 60s across W.A.B.B.L.E.S. Rain chances appear to hold off until the overnight hours, so no need to cancel any outdoor BBQs Friday evening! 🙂

Rain Chances Arrive Late Friday

FRIDAY NIGHT: As mostly cloudy skies build after sunset, rain chances will steadily increase around and after midnight. Lows will only drop modestly, likely not exiting the 50s area-wide.

SATURDAY: Scattered showers will persist into midday Saturday, with gusty winds (and even an isolated rumble of thunder) possible as the front passes. Highs on Saturday will be in the low 60s ahead of the prevailing front. Rainfall totals will generally be 1/4 inch or less.

The Cool-down Behind the Front:

After the passing cold front late in the day Saturday, things cool off for the back-half of the weekend. Lows Sunday morning will be in the upper 30s, with highs only managing the middle 40-degree range by the afternoon. Skies will likely remain mostly cloudy throughout the day, with peaks of sun possible throughout. Things should be dry, though!

> This trend of cooler weather is expected to persist into early next week.

That’ll wrap things up for this beautiful Thursday morning in SOKY! Enjoy the rest of your week, and remember, this weekend will not be a total washout! Stay positive, friends.
